Wow! Look at him…isn’t he beautiful? His name is Loque’nahak as I’m sure many of you know. He is a Spirit Beast who can be found in Sholazar Basin, he is a rare spawn and can be tamed by hunters (like me…Orc Hunter) as a pet. Now. I admit I am not one to camp out and wait for hours for mobs to spawn so it was really just coincidence that I saw this magnificent creature while doing my Oracle Dailies in Sholazar a couple of days ago. I got so excited I thought I might pee my pants (ok, more info than anyone probably needed…sorry). So I swooped down from the sky so I could tame this exceptional beast and right as I was about to tag him…a freaking Night Elf Druid Moonfires him and rushes in and kills him!!! Now I don’t know if this was for the achievement or if it was just to spite me, but I’ll tell you what I went from pee my pants excitement to a rage which cannot be defined (ok maybe that’s a little dramatic, but I was really upset, ok). This was…spiteful…rude…why…why I ask you??
Now, he’s Alliance so I couldn’t even yell at him or tell him what a butthole I think he is, no…all I could do was stand there and watch as he stood over the dead body of what should have been my beloved pet! He looted him, skinned him and then flew off on his stupid bird!
Sometimes I swear this game can be frustrating and yet a one day break is almost more than I can bear. Now I do find myself searching a little harder for this tamable beast so I can prove that even though that wretched Alliance character may have gotten the better of me that day, he did not break my spirit and the next time I see him I want it to be in a dark corner of a Battleground so I can sick my prized Sprit Beast pet on him and we, together will bring about his demise! I just have to get the pet first…
Druids
- Ferocious Bite: This ability now only uses up to 30 energy in addition to its base cost.
Hunters
- Kindred Spirits (Beast Mastery): This talent now grants 20% pet damage at max rank.
- Serpent’s Swiftness (Beast Mastery): This talent now grants 20% pet attack speed at max rank.
- Pets
- Lava Breath now reduces the target’s casting speed by 25%, down from 50%.
- Poison Spit now reduces the target’s casting speed by 25%, down from 50%.
Mages
- Arcane Power now increases damage and mana cost by 20%, cooldown reduced to 2 minutes.
- Arcane Power and Presence of Mind now share a category cooldown. Arcane Power causes a 15 second cooldown. Presence of Mind, once consumed, causes a 1.5 second cooldown.
- Arcane Flows now reduces the cooldown of Presence of Mind, Arcane Power and Invisibility by 15/30%.
- Presence of Mind: The cooldown has been reduced to 2 minutes, (down from 3.)
- Slow (Arcane): now increases cast time by 30%, down from 60%.
Paladins
- The duration on all Seals has been increased to 30 minutes and can no longer be dispelled.
- Divine Plea: The amount healed by your spells is reduced by 50% (up from 20%), but the effect can no longer be dispelled.
- Sanctified Seals: This talent no longer affects dispel resistance, but continues to affect crit chance.
Lastly we have the Elders of Northrend: We will start in Dalaran and since we have the ability to fly on our mount here, I will indicate when I took a flight path by placing an FP next to the fly command.
- Fly (FP) to K3 in Storm Peaks. Elder Graymane is at 41,84 just outside town on the hill above the wreckage.
- Fly to Frosthold. Elder Fargal is at 28,73 on the ledge over the town. This is an Alliance town so don’t fly into it as you will agro the guards.
- Fly to Bouldercrag’s Refuge in the NW corner of the map above Snowdrift Plains. Elder Stonebeard is at 31,37 here.
- Fly (FP) to Camp Tunka’lo in Storm Peaks. Elder Muraco is at 64,51 along the mountain path.
- Fly (FP) to Zim’Torga in Zul Drak. Elder Tauros is at 58,56 here.
- Fly to Westfall Brigade Encampment. Elder Beldak is at 60,27 just outside town so this is no problem for Horde players.
- Fly to Ruins of Tethis. Elder Lunaro is at 80,37 on the islans SE of Drakil’jin Ruins.
- Fly to Camp Oneqwah. Elder Whurain is at 64,47 on a cliff right outside town.
- Fly (FP) to Moa’Ki Harbor in Dragoblight. Elder Toim is at 48,78 here.
- Fly (FP)to Agmar’s Hammer in Dragonblight. Elder Skywarden is at 35,48 on a ledge overlooking town.
- Fly to Star’s Rest. Elder Morthi is at 29,55 and is guarded by a “Winter’s Sister” which is a level 72. If you attack her you will be flagged for PvP. So just get in and get out.
- Fly to Valiance Keep in Borean Tundra. Elder Sardis is at 59,65. This is an Alliance town but he is on a low rock outside of town so he is easy to get to for Hordies without agro problems.
- Fly to the D.E.H.T.A Encampment which is NW of Kaskala. Elder Arp is at 57,43 here.
- Fly to Tansitus Shield which is a Kirin Tor settlement in SE Coldarra. It was neutral for me and requires you to fly into the purple “bubble”. Elder Northal is at 33,34 here.
- Fly to Warsong Hold. Elder Pamuya is at 42,49 outside of town on a ledge overlooking Mightstone Quarry.
- Fly (FP) to River’s Heart in Sholazar Basin. Elder Sandrene is at 49,63 by the Flight Master.
- Fly to Rainspeaker Rapids. Elder Wanikaya is at 63,49 here. Everthing here was neutral to me but may not be if you haven’t done the quests here.
- Fly to Wintergrasp and get in a safe place before being dismounted. Elder Bluewolf is at 49,14 inside the keep. This is a PvP zone and the only way to get to this elder is if your faction controls the keep. Then you simply click the defender’s portal and it will take you to the room where he is. He is in the room where all the portals to the different BG’s are.
Congrats! You have earned another achievement!
Next is the Elders of Easter Kingdoms: All players should start in Undercity and have their Hearth set to Shattrath or
Dalaran.
- Go above ground to the Ruins of Lordaeron. Elder Darkcore is at 66,38 here. This will complete the Elders of the Horde achievement if you followed the Kalimdor guide already, so congrats!
- Run out of UC to Brill. Elder Graveborn is at 61,53 on the Eastern side of Brill near the Inn.

- Continue East to Light’s Hope Chapel. Elder Snowcrown is at 75,54 directly South of the Inn.
- Fly to Raventusk Village in the Hinterlands. Go up the path from the beach (which begins at 76,61) and follow the road West to the Creeping Ruins. Elder Highpeak is at 50,48 on top of the small hill here. Run back to Raventusk Village.

Be careful as Ironforge Guards patrol here – they are level 75 so try not to agro. Also be sure pets are set to passive so if you are dismounted by a guard they will not attack or you will be flagged for PvP (not good in this area). Run back to Kargath.
- Fly to Thorium Point in Searing Gorge. Run to Blackchar Cave (path at 29,73) in the Southwest corner of the map and you will find Elder Ironband at 21,79. Run back to Thorium Point.

This is a simple guide on what I feel is the quickest and most efficient way as a Horde player to get your achievements for the Elders on the three different continents and Elders of the Horde during the Lunar Festival. This is part 1 of 3. Also while doing these achievements you should be able to complete the Coins of Ancestry Achievements as well as each elder will give you one coin.

- Fly to Splintertree Post in Ashenvale. Run West to Asrtanaar. Elder Riversong is at 35,49 on the outskirts of town in a gazebo. Be careful as this is an Alliance town, lower level players can swim up through the water without aggroing guards.
- Take the road NW into Darkshore and continue North on the road to Auberdine. Elder Starweave is at 35,48 East of the Hippogryph Master along the beach. This is also an Alliance area so be careful.
- Go to the docks in Auberdine and take the boat from the dock on the right over to Rut’ Theran Village and then go through the portal to Darnassus. Run quickly through Darnassus and continue on the road going East to Dolanaar, Elder Bladeleaf is at 57,60 in the Southern part of town. He is easy to get to.

- Run NW into Un’ Goro Crater. Elder Thuderhorn is at 50,76 in the Slithering Scar on top of one of the small mounds to the North.
- Run to Marshal’s Refuge in Un’ Goro and then fly to Cenarion hold in Slithus. Elder Bladesing is at 50,36 right in town.
- Run NW to the Crystal Vale. Elder Primestone is at 23,11 here. Run back to Cenarion Hold.
- Fly to Thunder Bluff – if your hearth is up you can hearth and port.
- Run South out of Thunder Bluff to Bloodhoof Village. Elder Bloodhoof is at 48,53 on the North end of the village by the bridge.
